Features of PDC Compressors

Triple diaphragm construction and unique hydraulic oil system of our compressor design offers these important features:

  • Contamination-free, leak-tight compression - Elastomeric seals assure total separation of the hydraulic fluid from the process gases/liquids.
  • Triple Diaphragm Construction - Isolates process gas from hydraulic oil. This ensures no contamination to the compressed gases, so product purity is maintained even during upset conditions.
  • Compatible Materials of Construction - All process-wetted components are constructed from corrosion-resistant material to prevent any contamination to the process gas.
  • Filters and Oil Removal Systems Are Not Necessary - Hydraulic oil cannot migrate into the process gas.
  • Extended Diaphragm Life - Advanced cavity contour design and unique proprietary manufacturing process reduces diaphragm stresses and prolongs fatigue life. Increasing diaphragm life extends maintenance intervals.
  • Automatic Positive Priming - Injection pump design minimizes knocks, Cavitation, and vibrations, resulting in smooth start-up and operation.
  • Soft, High-Strength Plastics for Check Valves - Reduce leakage, improve efficiency, extend equipment life, and reduce noise levels.
  • High Compression Ratio per Stage - When compared to reciprocating compressors -helps reduce capital costs
  • Unique Oil Distribution System - Assures pressure equalization
  • Fast acting Leak Detection System - To detect and indicate diaphragm and seal failure

Horizontally-Opposed Designs for High-Efficiency Operation

  • Duplex and multi-stage designs are available to accommodate a wide range of pressures and flows.
  • Duplex units are capable of compressing different gases simultaneously.
  • Simplex units are field-convertible to increase flow.
  • Duplex units provide twice the flow with 1/3 Hp consumption.
  • Horizontally-opposed and balanced designs reduce vibration and require minimal foundation.

  • 1 to 250 hp for wide range of flow rates
  • Self-clamping boot strap design for pressures over 10,000 psig (690 bar)
  • Corrosion resistant materials for compatibility with various process applications (300 Series SS, Inconel, Monel, Hastelloy, etc.)
  • Ductile metals seals to meet low leak rate specifications (10-8 cc/sec Helium)
  • Electric or air driven motors
