Kareem Afzal is Executive Chairman of PDC Machines, having been with the company for over 24 years, and is the Chair of the Afzal Family Foundation. Kareem is dedicated to making PDC one of the world’s premiere hydrogen companies, and through the business, is committed to helping build a green energy economy for a thriving future. Under Kareem’s leadership, PDC has grown from a local company to a fully international one. Joining Arcline Investment Management’s portfolio has supported the expansion to true scale, while still maintaining PDC’s family ownership and loyalty to its employees and local community.

When he gets a spare moment, Kareem is an avid distance runner and Philadelphia Eagles fan.

Bree McQuillan joins PDC Machines with 20 years of experience with global manufacturing companies in the aerospace, automotive, HVAC and industrial markets. She has held various executive leadership positions across sales, customer service, marketing, strategy, product management, engineering and operations. She has successfully developed and transformed organizations to become proactive solution providers focused on uptime reliability and superior customer service. Bree holds an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and a BS in Industrial Engineering from Rutgers University.

Jon is an experienced finance executive with leadership roles in the manufacturing industry over the past decade. He is skilled in financial accounting and reporting, treasury and cost management, system integration, and process implementation. He also has a long track record of building high performance teams, driving improvement, team building, and people development.

Michael joined PDC after 25 years in the industrial gas industry serving various engineering and management roles with global responsibility. During that time, he spent the last 18 years developing projects and designing hydrogen fueling stations for material handling, light duty, and heavy duty vehicles, for which PDC products played an integral role. He brings extensive knowledge about the growing market for a diversity of solutions to fuel zero emissions vehicles, and valuable experience within the hydrogen energy ecosystem. Michael is a Drexel University graduate with a BS in Materials Science and Engineering is active in the development of NFPA and CGA codes and standards for the safe use of hydrogen.

Darren joined PDC Machines in 2024, bringing along 27+ years of experience that spans leadership roles in engineering, manufacturing, sales and service. He is a results-driven leader with a proven track record for improving workflow efficiencies, developing productive customer-oriented processes, and fostering sustainable business growth. Throughout his career, Darren has worked with various types of rotating equipment and turbo-machinery from both an engineering and commercial vantage points. He has extensive business planning expertise with experience across various disciplines, including P&L and Cost-center management, proposal and commercial management, strategy development, goal and metric setting, and acquisitions.

Rich has over 25 years of Supply Chain, Quality and Manufacturing experience. He drives operational efficiency and cycle time reduction by utilizing Lean tools, Key Performance Indicators’ (KPIs) and applying Continuous Improvement outcomes. Rich champions organizational initiatives geared towards recognizing employee achievements, increasing employee satisfaction, and retaining a skilled and motivated workforce. Rich is a diehard Eagles and Phillies fan!

Marissa Coyne is the Senior Director of Human Resources and a member of the Executive Leadership Team, bringing nearly 30 years of HR experience to the manufacturing industry. She leads HR strategy and operations, ensures compliance and effective compensation practices, develops and enforces policies, and champions DEI&B initiatives to strengthen organizational culture. Marissa holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a minor in Human Resources from Marywood University and maintains SPHR, SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CAL, and SHRM-PASC certifications.

A graduate of Temple University, Thomas began his career with Loomis Products in Levittown where he worked for several years designing custom automated cold isostatic pressing machines with operating pressures in excess of 60K psi. In 1999, he began working for Pressure Products Industries in Warminster as the engineering liaison for the sales department. Tom advanced throughout his career to roles including sales technical manager, chief engineer, engineering manager, Sr. Product Manager and more recently as Dir., Product Engineering for the diaphragm compressor business at PDC.

Raoof Ahmed joined PDC as a Drexel University Co-Op student in 1993 and moved to PDC engineering in 1995. During his tenure at PDC Raoof has held many roles including Principle diaphragm compressor designer (SME), Electrical and Controls Engineer (SME), IT administrator/ Manager, Project Engineer/ Manager, Engineering Manager and as Technical Director since 2016, in charge of PDC product design, development in compliance with applications for ever growing international Codes and Standards. Raoof has been an integral part of PDC Hydrogen System designs since 1998, working with various partners from the first commercial H2 material-handling compression/ fueling system design and deployment to various H2 HRS, fueling and tube trailer filling projects around the world.
